Summary:
Nalley has set up her own food company and it was successful in the past, but last month this plant closed, they lost its namesake and the region lost 160 stable,middle-class jobs.
However, many people who were employed by these company disagree about it,they has been working here for 38 years,it is a big shock to the system.
History about this company was good, but decline these years because the new plant's owner make the products cheaper and cheaper, then they are useless.however, workers got a "trade adjustment assistance."everybody can got $22,000 for training for a new career. It wasn't a good choice because it's too bad to accept a new job so less than half of eligible workers will use it.
They are moving to lowa, the governor of lowa support them, they think the company can be better because the new environment for the company is better than before and also lowa can earn some interest from it.
Although the company will move, some workers can't do that. Also there are some blame about that.
Personal response:
I think if a company can't insist on managing,it's better to move because when they can't do that any more, one is go bankrupt, another one is change. This company isn't as well as before,so they can restart, when they move, the environment has changed, the people have changed, everything have changed,so why not move and develop?
